Funding Conservation

Supporting conservation where it matters most

We fund work directly on the ground, helping communities protect and restore the ecosystems they depend on.

Our Mission

Our aim is to ensure that support reaches the people who need it most. We prioritise funding conservation work delivered by teams on the ground, rather than directing resources towards administrative overheads.

We focus on projects with strong community involvement. People living alongside important ecosystems are often best placed to protect them, and our support helps channel local knowledge into practical conservation action. Funding is provided directly to community groups, ensuring it has a clear and immediate impact.

What We Do

We support conservation initiatives that combine ecological restoration with community engagement. These projects are typically based in areas of high biodiversity value, where local communities play a central role in protecting and restoring natural habitats.
Our approach is to identify and fund practical, locally led solutions. This includes supporting reforestation efforts, biodiversity protection, and initiatives that reduce pressures such as illegal hunting or habitat loss.
While our current portfolio includes a small number of projects, we are actively working to expand this area of our work, identifying new opportunities where targeted funding can make a meaningful difference.

Our Approach

We prioritise direct funding, ensuring that resources go straight to the individuals and groups delivering conservation work. By minimising overheads, we maximise the impact of each contribution.

Community involvement is central to our approach. By supporting local people to lead conservation efforts, we help build long-term, sustainable solutions that are grounded in local knowledge and experience.

We have supported a community-led nursery programme in Indonesia, enabling local groups to collect seeds from rainforest tree species, grow them in village nurseries, and replant them in degraded forest areas. This work has resulted in over 30,000 seeds and seedlings being collected, and more than 6,000 saplings planted in a globally important biodiversity hotspot.

Since 2012, we have provided ongoing funding for the Cusuco Rangers in Honduras. This supports a dedicated team working to reduce illegal deforestation and hunting in Cusuco National Park, helping to protect endangered species including jaguar and Baird’s tapir.

Supporting Conservation in Practice

Our long-standing support for the Cusuco Rangers in Honduras reflects our commitment to sustained, on-the-ground conservation. This work focuses on protecting cloud forest ecosystems through regular patrols and community engagement.
